The Sounds Unousnd #6 Flyer

Dirk and I have put together an amazing lineup for this, the sixth in The Sounds Unsound presents series.  It’s a massive synth vs guitars type lineup happening on Saturday 24th September 2015, Underground at Valve Bar and Venue, Agincourt Hotel, 871 George Street, Sydney, Australia, with doors at 8pm and tickets $15 on the door.

Digital/analog synth duo Demoncore will be kicking off the night at 8.30pm, followed by post-doom guitar duo Sound Object featuring yours truly from Forenzics and Pete Jones from the mighty Axis Trio, Melbourne based audio/visual maestro Abre Ojos, the usual darkly textured improvised soup of Forenzics, and saving the best till last, Defektro in all his man/machine noize interface glory.   Our own visual maestro RedCell Disorder will be projecting his signature improvised textured insanity throughout the night apart from Abre Ojos’ set.

We’re also way excited to share the stage once again with Forenzics’ original drummer Ben Eadie for the first time in many, many years.  Sure to be interesting.

Check out the Facebook Event for updates and more info and listen to tracks by each act here.

Forenzics ‘Malign’ Album Review on The Orange Press

Forenzics Malign Album Cover Artwork_SRGB

John Hardaker just posted a review of our new album ‘Malign‘ yesterday and it’s a cracker!  Here’s an excerpt…

Experimental music is not supposed to affect one this deeply. But it does. In fact all of Malign does. Yes, like all good modern art it asks to be listened to on its own terms. Yet it does not push away but creates a place for the listener to go and to explore as it happens. Unlike too much ‘experimental’ music, it includes; it does not exclude.

Forenzics Rooftop Promo Photo Seven

The observant among you will have noticed some changes here at Forenzics HQ.  Finally updated the look from the Static and Silence era and have added a couple of pages and some better functionality overall.  The image is one of a series we shot on a rooftop with the talented Rowena Clarke, have a look at her other work.  We’ll be using the images across our entire web presence over the next week or so. It should also be much easier to comment now using your existing social media profiles so let me know what you think of the changes.  We will eventually completely change entire the look and functionality of the site when we get the time – two weeks before the launch of a new album is not that time!
