Forenzics ‘Malign’ Album Launch Tour in March
Forenzics are embarking on our first ever interstate tour in support of this, our fourth studio album, entitled ‘Malign‘, playing 1/4 Inch at Rad Bar in Wollongong on the 3rd March, The Record Crate in Glebe on the 6th March and Make It Up Club at Bar Open in Melbourne on the 10th March.
We’ll be playing with a slightly improvised line-up at each venue but with stalwarts Dirk Kruithof and Matthew Syres on guitars, coupled with Shahane Bekarian’s (RedCell Disorder’s) signature large scale projections, each is sure to be a uniquely stunning, cinematic, synaesthetic journey down the rabbit warren.
More details in the accompanying posts.

A little about the album…
This new album ‘Malign’ was recorded completely live, without overdubs, edits or preconceived music over the space of one day on the 15th June 2012 and features drummer John Wilton, whose subtle yet fiery approach lends the eight tracks of darkly sublime and textured improvisations an openness, clarity and purposefulness previously unmatched in studio recordings from Forenzics. Where previous album ‘Build Ruins’ (released via ‘New Weird Australia’ in 2011) was noisy, chaotic, electronic and dense, ‘Malign’ is subtle and bewitching, spacious, otherworldly and surprisingly listenable whilst still maintaining the band’s signature dark and atmospheric sound.

In awesome news, noisy genre bending legends Scattered Order are headlining the next Sounds Unsound Presents show, Friday 6th February 2015, upstairs at Valve Bar and Venue, Agincourt Hotel, 871 George Street, Sydney, Australia, with doors opening at 9.30pm. Forenzics will be kicking off the night around 10pm, creating our usual darkly improvised sonic soup, followed by Melbourne based improvising duo Maria Moles and Adam Halliwell, with Scattered Order closing up proceedings with visuals by their regular genius Colum. Our own visual maestro RedCell Disorder will be projecting his signature improvised textured insanity for both us and Maria and Adam. Check out the Facebook Event for updates and more info.
