Forenzics Launch ‘Malign’ Album at Make It Up Club, Bar Open, Fitzroy, Victoria, 10th March 2015
Our Melbourne launch will be at the legendary Make It Up Club, a long running improvised music series, at Bar Open, 317 Brunswick St, Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria, on the 10th March 2015. At this, our first ever show in Melbourne, the band’s line up will feature Matthew Syres and Dirk Kruithof on guitars, Joe Cummins on trumpet and electronics, special guest Maria Moles on drums, and Shahane Bekarian on projections for a unique, stunning, cinematic, and synaesthetic journey down the rabbit warren of our darkest musical hearts.
Other acts playing the Make It Up Club will be a solo set by Todd Anderson Kunert and a duo comprising Clinton Green and Chun-Liang Liu (Moe Chee)

Forenzics Launch ‘Malign’ Album at The Record Crate, Glebe, NSW, 6th March 2015
Our Sydney launch coincides with the release of the album online and takes place at Sydney’s unofficial second home of outsider music and arts, The Record Crate, 34 Glebe Point Road, Glebe, NSW, on the 6th March 2015, doors at 8.00pm, $10 entry on the door.
This show will feature the seminal line up of Matthew Syres and Dirk Kruithof on guitars, Joe Cummins on trumpet and electronics, Evan McGregor on drums, and Shahane Bekarian on projections, for a totally unique, stunning, cinematic, and synaesthetic journey down the rabbit warren of our darkest musical hearts. Joe has relocated to Melbourne so it may be a while before this awesome lineup appears in Sydney again. Not to be missed.
Special guest for the evening will be Elsen Price, improvising on solo double bass. Elsen has shared the stage with such notable performers as Mike Patton, Lee Ranaldo, Steve Hunter and Bobby Singh in addition to performing and releasing material under his own name.

Forenzics Launch ‘Malign’ Album at 1/4 Inch, Rad Bar, Wollongong, NSW, 3rd March 2015
Our Wollongong album launch will be at the highly regarded 1/4 Inch, a performance series devoted to experimentation in sound and the moving image, presented at Rad Bar, 95A Crown Street, Wollongong, NSW, on the 3rd March 2015, doors at 8.15pm, $5 tickets on the door.
Our line up will feature Matthew Syres and Dirk Kruithof on guitars, special guest Joe Manton on electronics, and Shahane Bekarian on projections for what is sure to be a glitchy yet unique, stunning, cinematic, and synaesthetic journey down the rabbit warren of our darkest musical hearts.
We are supporting French/Cambodian musician LAFIDKI, a sound and vision artist who brings a unique sense of abstract electronics, energy and joy to his deeply experimental psychedelic noise. Another support is yet to be announced.

Forenzics ‘Malign’ Album Launch Tour in March
Forenzics are embarking on our first ever interstate tour in support of this, our fourth studio album, entitled ‘Malign‘, playing 1/4 Inch at Rad Bar in Wollongong on the 3rd March, The Record Crate in Glebe on the 6th March and Make It Up Club at Bar Open in Melbourne on the 10th March.
We’ll be playing with a slightly improvised line-up at each venue but with stalwarts Dirk Kruithof and Matthew Syres on guitars, coupled with Shahane Bekarian’s (RedCell Disorder’s) signature large scale projections, each is sure to be a uniquely stunning, cinematic, synaesthetic journey down the rabbit warren.

Forenzics, Maria & Adam, Scattered Order To Play Sounds Unsound Presents #5, 6th February 2015
In awesome news, noisy genre bending legends Scattered Order are headlining the next Sounds Unsound Presents show, Friday 6th February 2015, upstairs at Valve Bar and Venue, Agincourt Hotel, 871 George Street, Sydney, Australia, with doors opening at 9.30pm. Forenzics will be kicking off the night around 10pm, creating our usual darkly improvised sonic soup, followed by Melbourne based improvising duo Maria Moles and Adam Halliwell, with Scattered Order closing up proceedings with visuals by their regular genius Colum. Our own visual maestro RedCell Disorder will be projecting his signature improvised textured insanity for both us and Maria and Adam. Check out the Facebook Event for updates and more info.
The Sydney Fringe Festival Presents Forenzics @ Colbourne Ave, 4th September 2014
As part of Sydney’s Fringe Festival, the awesome folks at Glebe’s premier Jazz venue, Colbourne Ave have asked us to push the audio/visual boundaries into free synesthesia once more.
We’ll take you on a dark, noir-ish journey of sound and vision, with our sonic instincts and improvisation styles transforming post-rock, noise, jazz and electronic influences into an absolutely unique and engaging live experience. All enhanced by the intense yet atmospheric large scale live projections courtesy of RedCell Disorder.
The band’s line up for this show will feature, Dirk Kruithof on Guitar/Bass, Matthew Syres on Guitar, Joe Cummins on Trumpet, and Evan McGregor on Drums.
We’ll be playing two sets in this intimate and comfortable BYO venue. Doors open at 8pm, advance tickets available through The Sydney Fringe Website or on the door.
What the hell happened to October?
Okay loads of news to catch up on….
We’ve played two gigs since my last post. Hopefully you’ve all been keeping up to date via twitter, myspace and facebook. If not – my apologies. We supported the excellent Duchesses at the Excelsior Hotel on the 21st October as part of Bird’s Robe Collective’s Menagerie 2010. Check them out – they a great blend of Mogwai, Sonic Youth, Interpol and even a bit of The Church in there. Joining us on stage for that gig was Finn Ryan on drums who did an awesome job.
On Saturday 30th October we played as part of Electric Brain, a group show consisting of some 15 print, ink, photo and paint artists. We played for the very first time with improvised visuals, provided by Red Cell, projected on a massive translucent screen in front of us – way cool. Video of the show to come…
