Defektro is an amazing Japanese noise artist, playing his hand made stainless steel sonic machines through effects and sonic weapons, creating startling journeys in sound. Axis Trio is a fairly new improvising No Wave outfit comprising members of Scattered Order, Psychic Date and Nhomeas. Living Legend Louis Burdett will mesmerize with his intense performance using multiple kaoss pads, handsonic powered drumming and who know what else, for an improvised, electronic tour de force. Forenzics will be in full quartet mode with Dirk Kruithof and myself on guitar, Joe Cummins on trumpet, and Evan McGregor on drums, for the full soundscape, noise, post rock, post jazz experience.
RedCell Disorder will be playing his trademark improvised visuals throughout the night, for the full synesthetic effect.
Forenzics will be performing in duo mode once more, this time featuring Dirk Kruithof and Matthew Syres, both on guitar. We are proud to support the enigmatic and intense Louis Burdett at this great night of out-there music kindly presented by Mondo Fondue.
Taking place at the Record Crate in Glebe, 32 Glebe Point Road, Glebe, with DJ’s kicking off proceedings at 7pm, followed by us around 8pm, Louis around 9pm.
For more details check out Mondo Fondue’s Facebook Page or RSVP and check for updates at our event page here. There’s also a good chance Louis will sit in with us for at least some of our set, the last time that happened it sounded like this… So don’t miss it – only five bucks!
Forenzics play a free show this Sunday 1st June, at StirrUp Gallery, 142 Addison Road, Marrickville, for the closing party of the Desert/Forest exhibition. There’s an eclectic mix of live music playing throughout the afternoon, kicking off at 2pm. We’re on at 3pm and will be playing in our usual quartet format, though this time joined by long lost drummer Evan McGregor. For those of you with long memories, he played with us at our Static and Silence album launch back in 2010, the entirety of which you can see on our YouTube Channel.
