Forenzics To Play Sounds Unsound Presents #4, 24th October 2014
We’ve secured a great lineup for this our fourth Sounds Unsound Presents event featuring us (ok that bit was easy), Defektro, Axis Trio and Louis Burdett.
Defektro is an amazing Japanese noise artist, playing his hand made stainless steel sonic machines through effects and sonic weapons, creating startling journeys in sound. Axis Trio is a fairly new improvising No Wave outfit comprising members of Scattered Order, Psychic Date and Nhomeas. Living Legend Louis Burdett will mesmerize with his intense performance using multiple kaoss pads, handsonic powered drumming and who know what else, for an improvised, electronic tour de force. Forenzics will be in full quartet mode with Dirk Kruithof and myself on guitar, Joe Cummins on trumpet, and Evan McGregor on drums, for the full soundscape, noise, post rock, post jazz experience.
RedCell Disorder will be playing his trademark improvised visuals throughout the night, for the full synesthetic effect.
The show takes place at Valve Bar and Venue, Upstairs in the Agincourt Hotel, 871 George Street, Sydney, NSW, with doors at 9.30pm. Check out the event page here for more info and updates.
