Remote Control Short Documentary Film released

30 December 2009 by , No Comments

Ed from Hoplite & Packhorse has released a short film documenting the Remote Control group art show put on at Tortuga Studios in July this year at which Forenzics performed two storming sets. The film features two tracks off our H3O album and also a very brief snippet of our performance on the night. Check it out above or on youtube here. Ed also took this cool grungy still of the gig.

At long last Static and Silence is finished! Pretty much ready to go – artwork is also done and we’ll be uploading to itunes etc shortly ready for the release early next year. Forenzics and Ryota after recording for an as yet untitled Forenzics album. From left, Joe Cummins, Dirk Kruithof, Ryota Yamamura, Matthew Syres.

Forenzics record with Japanese electronic artist Ryota Yamamura on the 11th May 2009. In our quest for sonic diversity and continuing musical inspiration we took the opportunity to record with Ryota during his brief stay in Sydney. We’d played together last year – complete with our then drummer Even McGregor, and it totally rocked – so we were keen to get together and record it this time. Totally glad we did, some audio teasers and more pics to come. Kudos to Michelle Barry for the sterling recording under difficult circumstances.

H3O reviewed by cyclic defrost

Cyclic Defrost gave H3O the once over. Here’s an excerpt:

Forenzics appeals to a tuned ear, one familiar to the art rock world, high on minimalism, completely rebelling against the structured codes that their chosen instruments lend, yet succinctly reveling in their wielding. Providing powerful new landscapes of sound, abstracted estranged music that is becoming uncannily familiar and growing fonder in the ear of this ‘noise’ avoider.
