Build Ruins Album Launch

6 June 2011 by , No Comments

We are proud to announce the imminent release and launch of our third album, Build Ruins, recorded back in 2009 with Japanese artist Ryota Yamamoto on electronics and Joe Cummins on trumpet. The album was recorded and mixed by Michelle Barry, mastered by William Bowden, and is being released by New Weird Australia’s New Editions label.  The album and poster artwork was created by Heath Killen, New Weird Australia’s resident designer and looks great.   Without a doubt this is our best album to date, both sonically and visually, thanks so much to everyone who’s helped to make it so.

Anyway come help us celebrate at FBI Social, Level 2, Kings Cross Hotel, 248 William Street, Kings Cross, Thursday 16th June, 8pm.  $10.

Supporting will be Domeyko/Gonzalez, Jusgo Mosh and Robot House with visuals supplied once again by RedCell.  It’s also being simulcast on FBI Radio from 9pm, thanks FBI!

Forenzics record with electronic artist Ryota Yamamura

Forenzics and Ryota after recording for an as yet untitled Forenzics album. From left, Joe Cummins, Dirk Kruithof, Ryota Yamamura, Matthew Syres.

Forenzics record with Japanese electronic artist Ryota Yamamura on the 11th May 2009. In our quest for sonic diversity and continuing musical inspiration we took the opportunity to record with Ryota during his brief stay in Sydney. We’d played together last year – complete with our then drummer Even McGregor, and it totally rocked – so we were keen to get together and record it this time. Totally glad we did, some audio teasers and more pics to come. Kudos to Michelle Barry for the sterling recording under difficult circumstances.
